Erin, Colton, and Miles came for a visit last week while Eric was away on a work trip. Miles turned 6 months old at the end of last month, so I was excited to capture this milestone. He’s the happiest, sweetest, chunkiest little love. I love him to pieces. And Colton is such a good big brother. He loves to help feed him and take care of him. I am so thrilled to start using film photography in my studio as well as outdoors. I took a course last year to teach me the ins and outs of using film indoors and how to get enough light to achieve a beautiful effect. I have been using both natural light and my studio light with film, and I am in love with both, so sessions will be a combination of studio lighting and natural lighting. My sweet nephew decided to join us a little earlier than expected, but I am so glad he’s here! He’s so itty bitty and so perfect. His big brother, Colton, is definitely a proud big brother and loves to help out. Colton loved holding him for the pictures, so we got some really sweet shots of the two of them together. I’ve had an entire year of photographing Amelia, and I’ve loved every single session! It’s so fun when parents participate in the Watch Me Grow Package because I get to capture the babies from fresh newborns to mobile one-year-olds. Every stage is so much fun. 3 month olds have big smiles, 6 month olds are sitting up and laughing, 9 month olds are really interactive and sometimes crawling around my studio. One year sessions often end in a cake smash, and it’s so much fun to watch them dig in. Amelia decided that exploring her cake with her feet was the safest option. It was adorable!
